The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 is scheduled to take place in Australia from the 16th of October to the 13th of November in the year 2022. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the tournament schedule on January 21st, 2022, making this the eighth iteration of the competition. This time around, the event is being held in Australia, which also happens to be the reigning champion of the competition.

There has already been the anticipated rush of people trying to get tickets to the major event. THE SCHEDULE FOR THE FIRST ROUND OF THE T20 WORLD CUP IN 2022

On the 16th of October 2022, the competition will start with a play in Group A between Sri Lanka and Namibia in Geelong at 9.30 AM India time. This will be followed by a match between the United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands at 1.30 PM India time.

The matches for Group B, which consists of the West Indies, Scotland, Zimbabwe, and Ireland, are scheduled to begin in Hobart on the 17th of October 2022 and continue until the 21st of October. The two teams who finish in first and second place in each group will advance to the Super 12 stage of the competition, which will begin on October 22nd.

SUPER 12 OF THE T20 WORLD CUP IN 2022

The T20 International team rankings as of November 15, 2021, determine which twelve teams will compete in the Super 12 round of the event, which is the second round of the competition. This consists of the top eight teams in the T20I team Rankings as of November 2021 as well as the four teams who qualified from the first round.

Phase 1 consists of the countries of Australia, Afghanistan, England, and New Zealand, whereas Phase 2 is comprised of the countries of India, South Africa, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
